We have just released a new title for Windows Phone, take a look!
Break MORE Aliens! is a humorous combination of two classics, Space Invaders and Arkanoid. Beta testers liked the game, and it got 3rd place in a game competition arranged by Nokia and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences when it was still in alpha, so we’re pretty excited to hear your thoughts on it.
The core gameplay is very simple; player’s goal is to steer the bat (“brick”) left or right on the screen and try to bounce the ball at the aliens pouring down from the top of the screen wave after wave, and achieve high score in the process. There are a total of 26 levels and 6 bosses, including “the Mothership” final boss.
The game features a total of 16 powerups, which bring more depth and even tactical aspects to the game, as they can be a two-edged sword. (For an example, powerup that enlarges the bat is useful early in the game, but will make it difficult to evade alien bullets if you pick it up later.)
Other features of the game include online highscore (has to be activated from Options menu), optional accelerometer control, infinite gameplay with survival mode and competitive AI that plays in the background when menus are open, and will even post local highscores.
For the soundtrack we have three awesome chiptune songs by Multifaros. (www.multifaros.info.se)
Break MORE Aliens! is a sequel to Break the Aliens! which was one of the earliest games released for Windows Phone platform.
